Above Normal Temperatures Expected This Week

Today's rain chances give way to a workweek that's mostly sunny with temperatures in the upper 70s to low 80s.

While the forecast calls for a 40 percent chance of rain today forecasters at the National Weather Service’s Ruskin office say New Tampa residents are in for a pretty nice week all in all.

“Today, you might get a stray, passing shower,” said Todd Barron, a meteorologist with the weather service. “After today, (it’s) clearing and temperatures are going to be warming up.”

Barron said we’ll see above normal temperatures pretty much throughout the workweek. Above normal in early December is the upper 70s and low 80s, he said.

The forecast for Tuesday, Dec. 13, through Friday, Dec. 16, is calling for highs near 80 with lows in the 50s to lower 60s.
