Guitarist Chronicles 'Biggest Break of My Musical Life' on Patch
Jazz musician Tim Riddle will bring New Tampa Patch readers behind the scenes as he records his fourth album next week.
Guitarist Tim Riddle calls it “ the biggest break of my musical life.”
The local jazz guitarist who has three independent CDs under his belt is about to record his fourth album — and he is taking New Tampa Patch readers along for the ride! Riddle will be blogging about behind-the-scenes experiences and letting us into the musician's mind.
In his late 30s, Riddle has a now-or-never approach for the forthcoming album.
“I will be recording with current members of the band Blood Sweat & Tears as well as some other well-seasoned musicians,” he writes in his introductory post. “I will be using this recording to gain interest from major record labels as well as music management companies in an effort to get signed to a recording contract, tour, and earn endorsements.”
An occasional performer at Toast Fine Wine & Cigar Bar in New Tampa, Riddle is leaving today for New Jersey. All next week he will be there recording at Jankland Recording under the tutelage of Steve Jankowski (the musical director of Blood Sweat & Tears).
You can follow his journey under the “Local Voices” section of New Tampa Patch.
