I-275's South Dale Mabry Exit Is No More

Want to travel southbound on Dale Mabry Highway from I-275? You will have to find a new exit.

New Tampa motorists who make their way to South Tampa for work or pleasure might find themselves in for a surprise if their exit of choice off Interstate 275 is southbound Dale Mabry Highway.

Exit 41A – the loop ramp that took motorists off the interstate and deposited them onto southbound Dale Mabry – closed this morning, Jan. 9, for good.

Drivers will now need to use the existing Exit 41B, which was formerly used exclusively by northbound travelers.

“This ramp has been converted to allow two turn lanes to each direction of Dale Mabry,” the Florida Department of Transportation stated in a media release.

Do you commute southbound for work or fun? Has the exit’s closing impacted your commute?
