New Tampa Teen Airlifted Following Vehicle Crash
Tampa police say Tyler Gregory Neuhaus had been approaching speeds of 100 mph before he crashed his Honda Civic.
A 19-year-old New Tampa resident is facing life-threatening injuries after approaching speeds of 100 mph and crashing his car early today (Friday, Nov. 30).
Tyler Gregory Neuhaus, of Colonial Grand Drive, had to be airlifted early this morning following the single-vehicle crash. According to Tampa Police, Neuhaus was driving his 2007 Honda Civic eastbound on County Line Road when he crossed over the center line, over-corrected and then lost control.
Neuhaus struck a utility pole, which, according to media reports, ripped the car in half. A portion of County Line Road was shut down but has since opened.
It is unclear what factors led to the incident, which occurred around 2 a.m. The matter is still under investigation, police said.
