Friday
- TR3 and Sons of Bill at Skipper's: Guitarist and two-time Grammy nominee Tim Reynolds and TR3 will take the stage at Skipper's Smokehouse. The group brings a blend of funk, rock and jazz. Sons of Bill will also perform. Time: 8 p.m. Cost: $15.
Saturday
- Learning Gate Community School's Ecofest 2012. This event in Lutz (16215 Hanna Road) includes live music, workshops, demonstrations, informational booths, green living products and services from local artists, green businesses, environmental organizations, organic farms and more. Time: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Cost: free.
Saturday
- Free storytelling and arts/crafts event at CherryBerry of New Tampa. Kelly's Tales will prepare a children's reading and activity. Recommended for ages 4-9. Cost: free. Time: 1:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday
- Peppa Pig Kidtoons screening at Muvico. Kidtoons, which distributes family-friendly animated movies in theaters on weekends, is introducing Tampa families to Peppa Pig. Peppa is a loveable, cheeky little piggy who lives with her little brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig. The screenings will be held Saturday and Sunday at the Muvico Starlight 20 in New Tampa. The fun starts at 11:00 a.m. both days, and ticket prices are $2.50.
