Peace Couture 2012

On November 9th, our store A&A Boutique was a vendor at this year’s Peace Couture fashion show benefiting The Spring of Tampa bay. It was so much fun talking to everyone about our store, and of course as always, “Smell the shoes!” (We have a pair of blue Vivienne Westwood + Mellissa shoes, all of Mellissa’s shoes are made of recycled PVC and smell like candy!) Phographers hurried around snapping moments while people poured in socializing and looking very fashionable.

Then the room cleared out as the fashion show started. Everyone went up the stairs to a gorgeous room where a runway was set up with local band Zulu Wave rocking out in the center. The show opened with Spathose’s architectural nature inspired designs. A stand-out look from there collection was a silver top that encircled the model. Sandra Hagen showed a range of ladylike looks like an edgy edge. Monstruosite by Dolly Donshey showed artistic hats and couture tee-shirts mixed in with corsets and leather look leggings. My favorite look from Wicked Betty was the white corseted gown with feathery sleeves. La France showed a range of fun vintage party looks to ball gowns covered in crystals.

It was a wonderful event and I can’t wait for next year’s event!
