Halfacre Construction Company, the area's oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, is restoring the exterior four-story beachfront buildings of Siesta Dunes condominiums in Sarasota.

The $1.3 million-dollar renovation project begins in early August and will take an aggressive three months to finish. The first phase of the renovation, which included the first two buildings, was completed in November 2013.

“Halfacre Construction is proud that the Siesta Dunes Condominiums board of directors and staff entrusted us with the second phase of their exterior renovation project,” said Andy Stultz, project executive for Halfacre Construction Company. “We look forward to delivering another project on time, within the budget and with the highest level of quality. It’s the greatest compliment to build lasting relationships and have repeat clients like Siesta Dunes.”

The two remaining buildings – with 32 units each – will undergo a total outdoor overhaul. The restoration includes replacing all the common area walkways/balconies with new structural steel, concrete, handrails, guardrails and ceiling system. Ground floor pavers and a traffic coating system, which is the final finish that seals the concrete from moisture intrusion, will allow for positive drainage for storm water.
