Tampa Bay Fashion Week SS 2013

Tampa bay fashion week's SS 2013 collections!

The energy backstage was both nervous and exited as models and designers got ready for the show. Amber and I both volunteered at Tampa bay Fashion week, she was a greeter and I was backstage, helping Dolly Donshey of House of Donshey. I laced
corsets, handed out clothes to the models and checked the time every 10

minutes. Models ran back and forth from hair and makeup, some wearing towering origami head pieces, some with pastel braided hair.

The models in Dolly’s show had either pulled tight hair or curly ringlets topped with awesome hats like a little top hat or a hat with foot and a hath high black
feather plume. My favorite look from House of Donshey’s collection was a skirt
of chainmail topped with lilac silk corset covered in pins.

House of Donshey’s collection was both romantic and edgy, models wore large deep colored flowers, ripped leather leggings, silk corsets, studs and long flowing skirts.Awesome hats crowned their heads (Except for the girls wearing fencing masks)the little purple top-hat and the hat with the foot and a hath feather plume stood out to me most. My favorite look from the collection was a skirt or
chainmail paired with a lilac silk corset covered in pins.Once the runway show started, loud upbeat music flooded in and most people backstage couldn’t help but to dance or sway.

Designers that showed were KHendrix, Spathose, Rogerio Martin and House
of Donshey, Rhonda Sheer, Lapratto, Wicked Betty Designs, Audrey Pat McGhee, Ashton Anderson, and Essence
Flowers.

After House of Donshey’s collection was over and I had hanged up all the
looks I went out to see the very last show- Khendrix Kimberly Hendrix, it was a candy colored collection that
was light, happy and fun with a sense of luxury.

I was smiling the whole time, and there was something magical about being
at fashion week surrounded by fashion- I can’t wait for next year when
hopefully Amber and I can show our collection there. I had an amazing time.
