New Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $425 Million
The odds of winning on a single ticket purchase is one in 175 million.
An estimated $425 million is a far cry from the record-breaking $590 million Powerball Jackpot won earlier this year by a Pasco County resident.
Even so, that’s a pretty sizeable chunk of change. After all is said and done with taxes, a winning Powerball ticket holder from Florida can expect a net payout of about $172,725,000, according to USAMega.com.
