Events Expo This Weekend at Pebble Creek Golf Club

Planning a big event this year? From weddings to recitals, and everything in between, the 2012 Events Extravaganza Expo this weekend promises to have you covered.

Event planners, bridal and formalwear suppliers, cake decorators, videographers, photographers, florists, travel agents, jewelers, salons, hair and make-up, bakeries, limousine service, musical talent and others will be on hand at Pebble Creek Golf Club to provide information to help you plan, no matter what you’re celebrating.

“It’s all events,” said event co-organizer Carmen Escobar.

Door prizes will be given away every hour, a press release stated. And all attendees are eligible for the grand prize: a $2,500 wedding gown or a $500 formal dress, depending on needs of winner.

Raffle tickets also will be sold for $2 each during the expo, Escobar said. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the 50/50 raffle tickets at the event will go to the raffle winner, the other half will be donated to Hope Youth Ranch in Hudson, which serves children from all over the county.

Escobar said she recently visited Hope Ranch, which houses at-risk teen girls in a group home setting and also offers a private school for children with learning disabilities.

Escobar was impressed.

“It was amazing how the children were responding to those horses,” she said. Escobar’s son also has a “slight learning disability, ” she said. “That’s why it’s so close to my heart.”

The Expo will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 25 at the Pebble Creek Golf Club, 10550 Regents Park Drive, in New Tampa.
