A Time-Savvy Plan For Incorporating Fitness Into Your Busy Schedule

Are you scheduling all of the wrong things first and the right things last? This blog offers a different perspective on fitting in fitness -- yes, even into an ultra busy schedule!

We all have days that are just maxed out. The hours in the day are just not enough. Have you ever felt like it is nearly impossible to fit it all in? Especially FITNESS? For most, fitness and health are put on the back-burner. Appointments, parties, family plans and more all take precedence over health. Why is this? 

In my time as a business owner of a Fitness Facility (AAP Fitness) and a fitness professional I have found one thing to be consistent. People tend to have things backwards. They feel like taking time out of their week is not fair to those around them. They GIVE to everyone else and save what (if anything at all) is left for themselves. However, it is been proven that when you take time for yourself and your health, everything else tends to run better. 

I believe that if people knew the true value of fitness and what it actually ADDED to their lives, that it would be placed and scheduled with more importance.

By scheduling fitness first (or a close second) you have MORE energy to enjoy your family. You have more confidence to tackle things that you may have never considered before and most importantly, you are helping your body to be its healthiest! You are ensuring that you are around to enjoy your children and their children. 

I know BUSY. Trust me, running a successful business while balancing my family life and personal goals takes effort. It is not easy to fit it all in. This is the key however, you do NOT have to fit it all in! Fit in what is most important. I like to schedule my time for my amazing hubby. I schedule time for my own fitness workouts. I schedule time for training at AAP Fitness and whatever is left gets scheduled. You must ask yourself when doing your weekly schedule the following questions:

Is this important to me? 

Does this add value to my life? 

Will this allow me to live a longer and more energetic life? 

Can this wait until a later date? 

I even rate on a scale of 1-10 my weekly "to do's" and schedule accordingly. My point is that sometimes we need to create a shift in our thinking. A way of looking at the same things in a different way. Life is about balance. 

We must also see those things such as our HEALTH as important as they are.. before they are gone. I can think of nothing worse than having to experience the loss of health when I could have done something about it. Especially knowing that those left to suffer the most- are those I love. 

This upcoming week - when you plan your schedule try "fitting" in fitness first... or a close second! Make your health a priority and see just how well the other things start flowing. Try it and let me know how it goes!
