Update: Burger 21 Coming to New Tampa in September

The chain got its start in Westchase.

Update 3:32 p.m. July 25: The new Burger 21 in Trout Creek Commons is expected to open sometime in September, according to Alisha dos Santos, spokeswoman for Front Burner Brands.

"Burger 21 New Tampa will seat 113 customers and consist of approximately 2,600 square feet of interior space plus a patio," she said.

Burger connoisseurs always on the lookout for a different flavor will soon have another option in the New Tampa area.

According to Channel 10 news, Burger 21 is about to stake its claim in the community. Plans are in place for the burger joint to open a location at 120304 Trout Creek Drive. The restaurant is also planning a Lakeland expansion, according to the chain’s website.

Burger 21 got its start in the Westchase area in 2010, according to Channel 10. The restaurant also has a Carrollwood location, which . Both stores are popular destinations in the northwest part of Hillsborough, serving up gourmet burgers, hotdogs, shakes and fries.

Burger 21's announcement comes on the heels of other recent restaurant openings in the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel areas. Both and have opened their doors over the last few months.
