Ciccio's Lodge Closes Abruptly

The Tampa Palms eatery is no more, citing an inability to come to 'mutually favorable terms with our lease.'

A popular Tampa Palms eatery and watering hole has closed.

Ciccio’s Lodge, which stood sentry at Tampa Palms Boulevard West, served up an eclectic bill of fare that included American bar food, California-style plates and Asian-infused dishes.

“Due to an inability to come to mutually favorable terms with our lease, we have been forced to close our doors,” the restaurant wrote Saturday on its Facebook page.

Many customers lamented the shuttering, which seemed abrupt.

“Just from the perspective of a musician, a great room to play. I will miss playing there for many reasons. Damn,” Bob Thompson wrote on Ciccio's Facebook page

Sean Baumann will miss the business, too.

“Please open another Tampa Palms location,” he added on the social networking site.

A call to ownership was not returned Tuesday. There are two other Ciccio’s locations: One in South Tampa on South Howard Avenue and one in St. Petersburg on 37th Avenue Northeast.
