HomeGoods Holding Grand Opening This Month

Shoppers, are you excited?

Eager fans of the HomeGoods chain store have been staring at a "Coming Soon" sign for several months now at The Walk at Highwoods Preserve.

But the wait is just about over. The former Circuit City space off Bruce B. Downs Boulevard will soon open its doors as a HomeGoods home decor store totaling nearly 30,000 square feet.

A grand opening is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 21.

The Massachusetts-based chain started in 1992 and has about 375 locations around the country. Nearby locations include Brandon and Carrollwood.

When Patch wrote about the New Tampa store in May, many readers said they were jazzed.

"I LOVE Homegoods! I venture to the store in Carrollwood to check out what they have new in the gourmet food section and to peruse their seasonal items. When I am looking for a piece of furniture or accessory to finish a room, it is the first place I go to!! I am really happy they are coming to my neighborhood!!" -- Tracy C.

"That's really great news. Love Home Goods." -- Laura Blank

The New Tampa store's address is 18071 Highwoods Preserve. Hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sundays.

We can't wait for the Grand Opening Sunday! We are celebrating my daughter's birthday there. That's all she wanted was a gift card to Homegoods for her birthday. It just so happened the Grand Opening was the same time so I said, lets go and she could pick out what she wanted! We both Love Homegoods! Mary Maloy
