Lee Roy Selmon's New Tampa Temporarily Shutters

The reason? To repair structural damages from severe weather conditions.

Hungry patrons looking to dine and drink at Lee Roy Selmon’s New Tampa will have to figure out an alternative for the time being.

The popular sports bar and restaurant at 17508 Dona Michelle Drive has temporarily closed to repair “structural damages from recent severe weather conditions,” according to a statement from the company.

Officials said the damage was not from a specific storm.

“We apologize to our New Tampa patrons for the inconvenience at this time, and invite them to visit one of our other local Lee Roy Selmon's restaurants,” Company President Sam Tancredi said in the statement. “Our employees have been transferred to one of our other 2 nearest locations, including our new Brandon restaurant that is scheduled to open September 9th.”

The New Tampa spot will open in the “near future” but no specific date has been set.
