Camden Live Oaks Sells For $63.4M

The apartment complex is now known as Amberly Place at Tampa Palms.

A New Tampa apartment complex has changed hands.

Camden Live Oaks, on Amberly Drive near Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, is now Amberly Place at Tampa Palms. The complex with the white brick apartment buildings and stately trees was sold this month for $63.4 million, according to Hillsborough County records.

The recorded seller is Camden USA; the buyer is 5100 Live Oaks Blvd. LLC. A notice was sent to tenants recently.

“We are pleased to announce a change in Ownership and Management from Camden Management to Providence Management Company, LLC,” the notice stated. “We are also changing the name of the property from Camden Live Oaks to Amberly Place at Tampa Palms. … Providence Management Company, LLC, a Chicago based management company, will assume the management of your community on Thursday, January 17, 2013. Providence Management Company, LLC has managed and owned multi-family communities across the Midwest and Southeast for over 20 years.”

A call to Providence was not returned.
