Fire Safety Event Slated For Saturday

The ninth-annual event is being put together by the GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman's Club.

The GFWC New Tampa Junior Woman’s Club will hold its ninth-annual Fire Safety and Community Awareness Day on Saturday, Oct. 22.

This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Station 20, 16200 Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

A multitude of family activities are on tap, including face-painting, arts and crafts, as well as a chance to explore fire and EMT trucks and chat with first-responders. Free batteries for smoke alarms will also be given away.
