If you’re looking for a white Christmas, Florida is not the place to be, obviously.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy other Northern staples of the holiday season such as ice skating.

Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park ice rink, downtown Tampa
- Running through Jan. 5, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park at 600 N. Ashley Dr. has morphed into a winter wonderland, complete with ice rink. The Shops at Wiregrass, Wesley Chapel
- Open daily from Nov. 17 to Dec. 31, this synthetic ice surface sits near the entrance of the outdoor mall. Check the Wiregrass website for times and rates.
Ice Sports Forum, Brandon
- The official training facility of the Tampa Bay Lightning, the ice-plex boasts two NHL regulation size rinks. There is public skating on select days and times. Check the website's calendar for details.
