New Tampa Teen Remembered Online

Friends and family tweet about Ty Neuhaus, the 19-year-old who died after a single-vehicle crash.

A 19-year-old New Tampa resident has died following a single-vehicle crash early Friday morning.

Friends and family of Tyler Gregory Neuhaus, Colonial Grand Drive, are mourning his loss on social networking sites such as Twitter. The teen will be remembered next weekend at LifePoint Church.

“I've never seen a family as strong as the Neuhaus's. no family should have to go through that. Ty was a great kid with a big heart,” tweeted Alex Kranick.

“Who knew a life could be completely altered in the matter of seconds.. my prayers go out to the Neuhaus family, Ty will be missed. #RIPty,” wrote Alex Montgomery.

Wade Boggs tweeted: “Thought's and prayers go out to the Neuhaus family over the loss of their son Ty. He was a great kid. R.I.P. Ty.”

Neuhaus was airlifted early Friday following the single-vehicle crash. According to Tampa Police, Neuhaus was driving his 2007 Honda Civic eastbound on County Line Road when he crossed over the center line, over-corrected and then lost control. The incident happened around 2 a.m.

Neuhaus struck a utility pole, which, according to media reports, ripped the car in half.

My heart goes out to his family. I know your pain in an all too personal way. I didn't know Ty and yet in a very small way I feel that I do. I am so sorry.

My heart goes out to Ty's family. Ty was one of my good friends on the yavapai college baseball team and words cannot describe how big a heart he had. I enjoyed every moment we hung out together. I love ya bud
