Worst Traffic: Bruce B. Downs or I-75?

Tell us what you think.

From great schools to safe neighborhoods, New Tampa has lots of positive things going for it.

But as anyone with a driver's license knows, congestion-free roads is most certainly not on that list. Traveling the short distance from the Interstate 75 overpass to the Muvico can mean a painful exercise in patience along Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

For New Tampa residents, it seems that traffic congestion is a way of life. And those orange construction cones? They are like trees — a permanent piece of the landscape, right?

Of course, all of these traffic backups serve a greater purpose. Both I-75 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard are in the midst of two separate widening projects that, when completed, will be a major asset and will be able to accommodate the population boom the region has experienced in recent years.

that he has to drive both I-75 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard as part of his commute and that he couldn't decide which one is worse when it comes to traffic. So we thought we would put the question to all readers.

Whose traffic is more agonizing: I-75 or Bruce B. Downs Boulvard?

Personally, Bruce B. Downs concerns me the most when I'm driving through. I-75 is bad, but there's so much to be wary of on Bruce B. Downs that even a short commute through the construction is stressful. What do you all think?

BBD is worse. Having to constantly stop is dreadful. Traffic is always congested, even on the weekends.

BBD is by far worse, It seems that every weekend the traffic lights for Highwoods Perserve and Donna Michele somehow get out of sync, This usuallymeans that on Monday and Tuesday BBD traffic is even more backed up.

Hmm, so far everyone says BBD. Anyone else have any thoughts?
