Crime Blotter: Motorcycle Stolen, Homes Broken Into

A roundup of recent crime news.

The following crimes were recently reported to Tampa Police:

Auto burglary, Nov. 28: Two vehicles were burglarized at the YMCA on Compton Drive. Property valued at $40 was stolen from one vehicle; nothing was removed from the second one.

Home burglary, Nov. 28: No property was reported stolen, but a Portside Street residence was broken into. Entrance was gained through a side window and a rear screened porch.

Armed robbery, Nov. 27: Three suspects were taken into custody following a complaint of an armed robbery at the Eagles Point apartment complex, Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. An iPhone was stolen and police use the “Find My iPhone” app to locate the suspects at a BP gas station on Highway 56.

Burglary, Nov. 24:  Someone smashed the front door glass of Ultra Cuts, Highwoods Preserve, and stole $250. The person fled undetected.

Auto theft, Nov. 21: Someone took a 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle without permission. The cycle was stolen from the Landmark at Grayson Park apartment complex, Bruce B. Downs Boulevard.

Home burglary, Nov. 21: Someone broke into a Highland Ridge home and stole various electronics and a jewelry box. The estimated loss was valued at $2,800.
