Deputies: Babysitter Exposed Himself to Girl, 7

The man was caring for two 7-year-olds when the alleged incident occurred.

A Wesley Chapel man faces charges of lewd and lascivious exhibition after deputies say he exposed himself to a 7-year-old girl left in his care.

According to a Pasco County complaint affidavit, Samuel Patrick Hemphill was babysitting two 7-year-old children at their home on the evening of Dec. 1.

While the 7-year-old boy was upstairs, the girl was downstairs watching television on the couch. Hemphill sat next to her and pulled down his pants to expose himself, according to the complaint. Hemphill then touched himself in a sexual manner and asked the girl if she knew what it was, the report stated.

Hemphill then asked her to touch him and she refused, according to the report. He pulled his pants up, but then exposed himself again, repeating the request for the child to touch him. Hempill "repeated this process multiple times," each time holding himself in a sexual manner, the report stated.

Hemphill, 18, of 1833 Rensselaer Drive in Wesley Chapel, was arrested Thursday (Dec. 13). He was released later that day on $10,000 bond.
