Woman Takes Bite Out of Crime — Literally
A 22-year-old Hensel Lane woman bit the tip off of her boyfriend's middle finger during a domestic dispute Monday.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Junie Dieujuste got into an argument with longtime boyfriend Reginald Gefferie, also 22, at their apartment on Hensel Lane. The dispute turned physical when Gefferie punched Dieujuste, pointed a kitchen knife at her and blocked her from leaving the bathroom and later the bedroom, authorities said.
Dieujuste, who is pregnant, bit Gefferie's finger in self-defense, authorities said. She has not been charged with a crime.
But Gefferie was hauled away on charges of false imprisonment and aggravated battery on a pregnant female.
Wayward Bruin Ends Up on Busch Boulevard
A black bear was captured by wildlife officials on Busch Boulveard earlier this week.
Although it was tranquilized near Busch Gardens, the 270-pound bruin had wandered from the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge and is not a resident of the theme park and zoo, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
Wildlife officials say the wayward bear had likely headed south through New Tampa. He has since been relocated.
