NFL player and former Middleton High School standout O.J. Murdock apparently committed suicide.

Murdock was found in his car by police around 8:30 a.m. Monday in front of the school where he was a two-time state track champ, . He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he later died.
Murdock suffered difficulties in college — a shoplifting arrest at the University Square Mall, school transfers, injuries — but was signed to the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent in 2011. However, he sat out the entire season because of a foot injury,

Mom Grabs Drink in Strip Club, Leaves Tykes in Truck
A West Lambright Street woman was busted last week for leaving her two children in a truck with malt liquor while she went inside a local strip club.
Brandi Jo Roman, 28, left her two children — a 5-year-old and a 3-year-old — to watch movies while she ordered a drink at the Mons Venus on Dale Mabry, according to www.tbo.com.
Roman was visibly intoxicated and slurring her speech, according to police. She was arrested and her children were turned over to the care of the state Department of Children and Families, according to www.tbo.com.
