Police: Be Aware of Increased Home Burglaries in New Tampa

A crime analysis report by Tampa Police shows there have been 10 residential burglaries this month in New Tampa. Most of them follow the same pattern.

Following on the heels of a warning about auto burglaries involving unlocked vehicles, Tampa Police are now asking New Tampa neighborhood watch leaders to spread the word about thieves targeting homes.

“Since the 1st of November there have been 10 residential burglaries in New Tampa,” according to a crime analysis report by authorities. “The majority of these offenses are occurring during the daytime, on weekdays, and entry is being forced by prying doors. In several of the cases the doors had been left unlocked.”
