Wesley Chapel Man Involved in Fatal Bike Crash
The accident took place last night in the Zephyrhills area.
A 57-year-old bicyclist from Crystal Springs is dead following a collision on State Road 54 last night around 8 p.m.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Harry J. Jasenec of Wesley Chapel was driving a 1989 Dodge Ram 150 van eastbound on State Road 54, approaching Allen Road, as James R. Hall was riding trying to cross 54. Hall’s bike crossed into the path of Jasenec’s van, which then struck him.
Hall died at the scene, a FHP media release said.

Jasenec and his passenger Warren L. Brinker Jr., 30, also of Wesley Chapel, were uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
