Hillsborough County 'Help Wanted' Sign is Out

The county is looking for candidates to fill a number of open jobs.

New Tampa area jobseekers on the prowl for a good employment opportunity might find what they’re looking for courtesy of Hillsborough County.

The county has a number of open positions, both full and part-time, it’s currently recruiting for, according to its Facebook page.

Open jobs include those at the sheriff’s office, public utilities and the aviation authority. Pay scales vary based on the position, but many of the open slots right now start in the $30,000 to $40,000 range.

The county’s civil service office oversees all incoming applications and conducts most initial screenings for candidates interested in open positions.

Be sure to check out the county’s Family Empowerment Program webpage, too. This program “is designed to assist families in achieving financial independence through employment and education,” according to the county’s website. “It is offered through the Hillsborough County Family and Aging Services Department, Social Services Division and is open to a limited number of qualified participants.”
