How You Can Help Design the Future of New Tampa, Hillsborough County

Imagine 2040 lets you share your opinions on how the area should grow, especially when it comes to jobs, housing and transportation.

By 2040, Hillsborough County will have up to 600,000 new residents and about 400,000 new jobs.

That’s according to the Hillsborough County City-County Planning Commission and the Hillsborough Metropolitan Planning Organization for Transportation, which have teamed up to simultaneously update the Comprehensive Plans of Hillsborough County, the City of Temple Terrace, the City of Tampa and the City of Plant City with the countywide Long Range Transportation Plan.

That means the groups are looking at current growth trends to come up with a vision for future growth throughout the county with an emphasis on jobs, housing and transportation. They’re calling it Imagine 2040, and they want your input.
