Online Tool Matches Voters with Ideal Presidential Candidate

The free quiz takes an in-depth look at your stance on a range of issues, then compares them to candidates' responses.

Election season has heated up with voters casting ballots in Florida's primary election on Tuesday.

, there are a wide variety of issues that concern New Tampa readers when it comes to who will end up in the White House.

But do you really know which presidential candidate best matches your stance on those issues?

A new website launched earlier this year to help voters match up with their ideal candidate, and it's quickly gaining popularity through social media channels. In fact, according to iSideWith.com's homepage, more than a million people have taken the free quiz to determine their ideal candidate since it launched in March.

The quiz covers everything from social issues to foreign policy and answers can be fine tuned: You can choose general or more detailed responses, and a scale allows you to set the level of importance for each issue. Your responses are then analyzed to determine your ideal candidate, complete with a breakdown of your response matches.

Seems to be a pretty handy tool, but does it work? You tell us. Take the free quiz on iSideWith.com and let us know what you think. Is the candidate it matched with you the candidate you plan to vote for?

Labeling people is silly I've been called a "liberal" yet I am really a "radical conservative." After the election, no matter who wins, I watch the govt like a hawk ready to put my talons on any subversion of my rights or others. The govt that works is the govt that works for U; the govt that duznt work needs to be thrown out as quickly as possible---legally, of course..

So is your point that you are conservative or that you thought you were liberal and foundout you were conservative and the poll incorrectly scored you? The poll clearly states the ranking spectrum. Unless you are a complete simpleton you recognize of course those numbers only represent opposite ends of a spectrum for comparative purposes.

Governments that act illegally will subvert your ability to remove them. This is the situtation that you find yourselves in now. The fact is that when they can gerrymander voting districts, tighten election laws with no need of same, kill people who disagree with their policies on a whim and make legal fictions (corpserations (sic)) people, legal means disappear. You need to grasp the fact that the Tweedledumbocrats and the Tweedlerepulsicrats are the culmination of blind loyalty to a broken system. You must consider alternatives.

"Liberal vs. conservative" is such a phony measurement. Political beliefs aren't that one-dimensional.
