Principal Stops Wharton High Salutatorian In Middle Of Graduation Speech

Wharton Principal Brad Woods stopped the speech. The student says it was unfair.

Wharton High salutatorian Harold Shaw Jr. was interrupted in the middle of his graduation speech on Monday at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

Principal Brad Woods stopped the speech, and the reason for the stoppage is causing quite a stir. The version of the story posted on TBO.com has been shared more than 3,500.

He was escorted from the building and did not get his diploma with the rest of his class, according to TBO.com.

According to the article Shaw told a reporter for TBO that he believes it was revenge for a video he posted about the school's bathrooms.

The pricipal directed the reporter to call the School District's communications staff.
