Vendor Spaces Still Available for EcoFest

The event, not far from New Tampa, drew about 3,000 people last year, organizers say.

Loking for a way to reach thousands of local residents with your products or services? There are still a limited number of vendor spaces available for Learning Gate Community School's annual EcoFest in nearby Lutz.

There are about 20 spots still available for the Feb. 2 event, organizer Michele Northrup said.

"We are looking to support all local businesses of Land O' Lakes, Lutz, Carrollwood and North Tampa," Northrup said. "Our focus this year is to show the importance of mom-and-pop businesses and individuals in our community that provide items and services that are unique to national brands."

This is the fourth year the school will host the event, which drew about 3,000 people in 2012, Northrup said.

The school organizes EcoFest to showcase businesses, organizations and individuals in the Tampa Bay area dedicated to the principles of sustainability: ecology, equity and economy.

The community has really embraced this event, Northrup said.

Vendor spaces start at $50 for market vendors. The fee is $100 for commercial companies. Other opportunities for sponsors also are available, see website for details.

Vendors can register for a space online at www.learninggate.org/ecofest.html.

EcoFest will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 2 on the school's grounds at 16215 Hanna Road in Lutz.

"The event is open to the public and is a free family friendly event," Northrup said. "We hope everyone comes out to Tampa Bay's first green event of 2013!"

Patch is participating as a media sponsor of EcoFest 2013.
