Collective Soles Arts Group Community Nutcracker Auditions are This SATURDAY, August 25th!
Our annual CSAG Community Nutcracker audition will take place on Saturday, August 25 at JDP. 5330 Primrose Lake Circle in Tampa, FL. We will only have one day for auditions this season.
The auditions are open to children ages 6 and older, and adults who want to participate.
Auditions are for the roles in Battle Scene, all of Act II and Clara, Fritz, Nephew and Party Parents. Below is the schedule for that day.
Audition: Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Jansen Dance Project
1:30-2:15: Girls & Boys ages 6-9
Open to all dancers and tumblers.
2:30-3:30: Girls & Boys ages 10 and older
Open to dancers with at least 2 years of ballet training and tumblers.
4:00-5:00: Clara, Fritz and Nephew Audition
Open to dancers ages 11-15 (girls and boys)
Girls must have 4 years of ballet training. Bring Pointe shoes.
5:30-7:30: Dancers ages 13 and older with at least 5 years of ballet training
Bring Pointe Shoes, Character Heels and a Long Skirt if you have one
7:30-8:15: Party Parents. Adults 18 and over. Bring your partner and have fun!
Female dancers: black leotard, pink tights and proper footwear.
Male dancers: black shorts or pants, white or black top and proper footwear. All male dancers must have Black Jazz Shoes for the rehearsals and performances (Young boys and girls may wear comfortable clothing and sneakers if they do not have proper dance attire).
Adults: comfortable clothing and sneakers or jazz shoes
The cast list and rehearsal schedule will be posted on the JansenDance.org website by Monday, August 27. Everyone that auditions will be cast in at least one role for one of the two performances. Mandatory rehearsals will begin September 7 weekend.
The production fee is $130 to participate. Additional family member fee is $50 per performer. Production fees are due September 1, 2012. Tickets will go on sale no later then November 1.
Performances will take place on Saturday, December 8 at USF in Theatre I.
