Check Out These New Tampa Kids' Moves

Get a sneak peek at the performance the kids in the Dance Camp at the New Tampa YMCA will put on for their parents Friday and learn more about the upcoming gymnastics, dance and cheerleading programs.



Summer is coming to an end and so are the weeklong camps at the New Tampa YMCA.

The last Dance Camp is taking place this week, and you can check out what kids ages 5-12 are learning in the video above. They'll put on a performance for their parents Friday.

Fall gymnastics, dance and cheerleading programs will start Sept. 16, and families can register through Sept. 8.

Programs include:
  • Tumble Tots (ages 18 months-3 years)
  • Kindergym (ages 3-5)
  • Creative Movement (ages 3-5)
  • Tumble I (ages 5-12)
  • Tumble II (ages 9-13)
  • Tumble Teens (ages 11-17)
  • Dance Club I (ages 5-9)
  • Dance Club II (ages 9-15)
  • Pee Wee Cheer (ages 3-4, ages 5-6)
  • Cheer (ages 7-11, ages 12-15)
  • Family Gym (open gym)
  • Private Gymnastics Lessons

Why should families take advantage of these programs?

"While parents are working out or taking advantage if personal training, their kids can do something healthy, too," said Jasmine Jones, associate director of Youth and Teen Programs.
