Volunteers Wanted: Tampa Police

Neighborhood Watch leaders are being recruited by the police department.

Willing to donate your time and talents for the purpose of crime prevention?

If so, the Tampa Police Department wants to hear from you. Officials are seeking Neighborhood Watch leaders who will act as liaisons between the police department and the community.

From Tampa Police's Lisa Timmer, neighborhood affairs liaison: "Currently the Tampa Police Department has 175 volunteer leaders with thousands of neighborhood watch members. Simply said, crime reduction in neighborhoods cannot be achieved without the help from its citizens."
