Heritage Elementary

Located off Cross Creek Boulevard, Heritage Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The school's mascot is a Florida bobcat, its colors blue and gold. Its motto is "Making a world of difference, one student at a time."
Heritage, which opened in 2003, features both before-school and after-school programs. The school is ethnically diverse. According to 2009-10 data from the state Department of Education, the ethnic makeup of students is 28.7% white, 27.8% black, 26.4% Hispanic, 7.7% Asian and 9.4% other.
The school's 2010-11 theme is "Cruising to success." Uniforms are mandatory.
