I went to Liang's Bistro last night for the first time and had my worst restaurant experience to date. We arrived at 9:15 pm and asked the hostess what time they closed and she said 10pm. She then sat us at our table outside. We were told by our server that the kitchen had already started to clean up and it would take about 10 minutes before the kitchen could even start cooking our meal. We still decided to stay although it was evident the server would have preferred us to leave. We received our mediocre food. After we ate our meal, we continued to sit outside and finish our glasses of wine. At 10 pm the manager turned off the lights knowing customers were sitting outside. It was literally pitch black. We walked inside to finish our wine and then was approached by the manager telling us they close at 10 pm. We stated we would just like to finish our drinks we paid for before we left. In no means were we taking longer than a typical meal and two glasses of wine would take to consume. I have never been told to leave in the middle of finishing dinner nor had lights turned off on me. All the restaurant had to do was wait 10 minutes after their closing time for us to leave. My boyfriend argued with the manager and told him we would be staying until we finished our wine. We did so and informed the staff we would never be returning.
