1. The USF Sun Dome held a press conference Thursday morning to announce that Sir Elton John — who has dozens of Top 40 hits to his credit — will perform at the grand opening on Sept. 14. “Elton John is one of music’s most legendary performers," said Trent Merritt, general manager of the Dome. 2. A 59-year-old man was charged with molesting two young girls at the Fletcher Avenue Walmart. 3. William Gallagher, 19, of Wesley Chapel, died in an overnight crash after the Honda he was driving rolled, partially ejected him and pinned him underneath.
