Tristram DeRoma began his journalism career on the shores of the Delaware River, freelancing as a photographer for newspapers such as the Lambertville Sun, Doylestown Intelligencer and the Jersey Mirror during the 90’s.<br><br>At the Intelligencer, captions grew into articles; and by the time he moved to Connecticut, he was writing about features, politics, education, crime and real estate development for the Huntington Herald. He then moved on to  Elm City Newspapers, a chain of papers owned by the Journal Register Company  that covered the southeastern coast of Connecticut. <br><br>He was promoted to editor of the Stratford Bard in 1999 where he stayed before moving to Florida in 2008. <br>During his time at the Stratford Bard, Tristram won many awards as a local member of the Society of Professional Journalists, including: first place for non-daily single editorial and first place for non-daily investigative news. <br><br>He is now a proud denizen of New Tampa and a  member of the New Tampa Patch team.
