How Bad Are The Roads In New Tampa?

A reader wants to know whether CDD roads are maintained better than county roads.

A post today from a New Tampa Patch reader made us wonder.

Frank pointed out that some neighborhood roads are maintained by the county while others are maintained by the subdivision's Community Development District.

Does this mean some roads are maintained better than others? And who decides what roads will be maintained by the CDD and what roads will be maintained by the county or the city?

"The Villages of Deer Run and Morningside are owned by the county," posted Frank. "All others in Meadowpoint are owned by one of the four CDDs. What's up and will they ever be repaired? I was told we pay less taxes to the CDD (because the county maintains our roads) but I can't believe that."

Regardless of who is in charge of them, what roads in New Tampa need to be repaired? Tell us what you think in the "comments" section below.
